Luciana was raised in Rome through her father and mother. Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi, an Italian Army officer, and her mom was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was the one of Benito's lover's wives. There is no information about her having siblings. Luciana attended a local school before matriculating to the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two females in the class. Following two years of modeling she landed an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. This was her debut. Her first marriage was with Brett Halsey who is also an actor. In 1960, they married and produced the film Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana was granted custody following the divorce. The couple had a child boy known as Charles who was born in June 1961. Luciana was involved in a romantic affair with Tony Anthony between 1962 until 1970. Tony is a producer and actor who was influenced to write and produce this Spaghetti Western hybrid based on the character she played as Green Slime.
